Concert: Richard Reiter. Chill out, sit back and relax to a summery program of instrumental jazz on the Concert Lawn. Bring a lawn chair, but no alcohol, please. Concert moves to the Carriage House in bad weather. $3 Donation. Sponsored by Orly Steinberg of Coldwell Banker.

Lilac Care Come work in the Lilac Garden and get a hands-on lesson in lilac pruning, thinning, dead-heading, and general lilac care from Dan Ryniec, Lilac Curator at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Rain date: June 27. Free.

Solar System Walk. Celebrate the Summer solstice with an easy 1-hour walk through NJBG's scale-model solar system, where you'll learn about our neighbors in space. Wear comfortable shoes. Rain cancels. $3 Donation.
June 20 (Saturday), 5 pm-7 pm Garden Party. Explore Edgecroft, one of Bergen County's most beautiful private gardens, at an afternoon Garden Party to benefit NJBG's work at the Botanical Garden. Event cancelled due to excessive rains. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact the NJBG office at (973) 962-9534 regarding refunds.

Kid's Hike. [GS] Great fun of younger NJBG fans. We'll learn what to do if you get lost in the woods, then take a hike to explore the hillsides around the Botanical Garden. Ages 8 and up; must be accompanied by an adult. $3 donation/person.

Daffodil Planting. [GS] Bring the whole family and help us plant more daffodils on Daffodil Hill, where spring comes early in a burst of bright yellow. A great chance to learn more about spring-flowering bulbs for your own garden! Bring gloves and small tools if you have them. No experience necessary. Free.

YOUR GARDEN
Come visit often for a constantly-changing display of color and bloom sure to cheer your heart. The Botanical Garden is open every day from 8 am to 8 pm Garden admission is always free. $5 per car parking fee on summer weekends and holidays. Weekday parking is free.
[GS] GARDEN SATURDAYS
Our interesting and varied program series offers you a brand-new adventure on Saturday mornings.
MANOR TOURS
...are offered on Sunday afternoons, March through November (4/5, 5/3, 6/7, 7/12, 8/2, 9/13, 10/4, 11/1/2009; subject to change). Docents lead visitors on a descriptive tour of the beautiful and historic Manor House. $5 adults, $3 seniors, Children: $1 (ages 6-18), Free under 6.
GIFT SHOP
Sunday afternoons from 12 noon-4 pm, April through December (weather permitting). Great gift ideas, shirts, books, garden supplies, and children's items. Credit cards accepted.
HIKE & BIKE
Always a pleasure on the Garden's many safe and beautiful hiking & biking trails.
VOLUNTEER IN THE GARDEN
NJBG volunteers help maintain the gardens, give tours, and offer many other public services. To volunteer, inquire at the office. We'd love to have you!
PLEASE REMEMBER...
Skylands is a carry-in, carry-out State Park facility. Please carry your trash and litter back out with you and dispose of it properly.
