There are many areas of volunteer opportunities at Skylands, the largest and most active is that of gardening volunteers in all of our specialty gardens.
Other volunteer activities include:
- data computer entry
- communications
- public relations
- garden tour guides
- manor docents
- family hike leaders
- summer concerts
- file and library maintenance
- grant writing and fundraising
- carpentry
- graphic arts
…and many areas of visitor interaction including seasonal public events, such as the Annual Plant Sale, Harvest Fest, and the ever-popular Holiday Open House!
Volunteers who are interested in working in an area in which they are not experienced will receive training.
Our main gardening day is Wednesday. We also have Sunday gardening. The gardening hours for both days are from 9 AM to 12 PM.
