Parking & Accessibility

There will be no parking fees for summer 2022.

On summer Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, there is a State parking fee (cash only) of $5 for New Jersey-registered vehicles and $7 for non-New Jersey-registered vehicles.

Oversized vehicles (vehicles that occupy more than one normal parking space, including vehicles with trailers, RVs, etc.) are charged double the normal rate.

At all other times, parking is free.

Parking Lot A is most convenient to the Carriage House Visitor Center, the Concert Lawn and the Manor House.

Parking Lot B provides easy access to the Lilac Garden, the Great Lawn, the Peony Garden, and the Azalea Garden.

Parking Lot C is a favorite for hikers and mountain bikers with direct access to trails.

Accesibility

Parking

Handicapped parking in Parking Lot A provides easy, paved access to the main road loops.

Handicapped parking is also available in Parking Lots B and C, but these lots are not paved.

Grounds

The primary roads in the Botanical Garden are paved and fully accessible to all, and form lovely loops for a pleasant outing.

The Carriage House Visitor Center and its facilities are handicapped accessible, as is the ground floor of the Manor House. Please note that Skylands Manor tours last about 45 minutes to an hour and no restroom facilities are available for participants to use during that time.

Many of the specialty gardens are set within lawns, and are accessible to most sturdy wheelchairs.

The trails and natural paths throughout the Garden cover varied terrain and are often uneven and rocky.

The Courtyard is surfaced in pea gravel. Lawns uneven and rocky.

For more information, please call the NJBG office at 973-962-9534.
